Moonlight Desert Camp — Sam

One night in the dunes.

Swiss tents at Sam, 45 km one way from the city centre. Camel riding before sunset, folk music after dark, and a Rajasthani buffet under the open sky.

The dunes are an evening, not a detour.

Most guests leave in the late afternoon, ride out for the light, eat dinner while the folk performance runs, and either drive back to the city or sleep in a tent. Both work. The camp is at Bhati Desert Camp, Sam, Salkha.

What the night includes

  • A Swiss tent for the night
  • Rajasthani folk dance and music
  • DJ for groups that want one
  • Camel riding, on a twin-sharing basis
  • Hi-tea and snacks out in the desert
  • Rajasthani buffet dinner, pure vegetarian
  • Buffet breakfast the next morning

Desert nights get cold from November to February. Bring a jacket even if the afternoon was hot.

Or just go for the evening.

There is a shorter version: the daily evening celebration at Sam, about six hours, with camel riding, folk dance and music, snacks and a Rajasthani buffet dinner. Ask us for the current rate when you enquire.
